Julie Magnada did a great job kicking off our lecture series dubbed the STEM cafe ! Her talk was about Stem Cells and their use in personalized medicine. We learned about the different flavors of stem cells and the best use of each type with so many in clinical trials. It was exciting, academic and well attended ! if you want to review it again :) Best of all ! She complemented the Science teachers at Piner High as one of the most enthusiastic and dedicated teams she has worked with. The grand finale was when she presented a piece of Scientific Art from the Buck Research Institute collection to be stationed in the SPARQ Center on campus ! Here is her presentation
